The Panzer II series was developed during the mid 1930's as a 10-ton light tank. It had a crew of three, and the series contained the A,B,C,F,D,E, and J, along with some other variants. The tank was originally made for training, but, along with the panzers 1,3,and 4, It was used for the Polish And French invasions that took place from 1939 to 1940. There were around 1,000 Panzer II's made. After the loss of Africa, the panzer II was no longer used and became obsolete. However, its chassis was used for many different tanks, including the Marder II.
