Usage[]
The T-34 model 39 is available right from the Leningrad chapter, as a bonus on Normal-difficulty random missions. Thereafter, it is on the standard upgrade list.
This is good medium tank, and is very useful to have during the Leningrad historical. It can easily come out victorious against Pz IIIs of any sort, and usually wins against a Pz IV Ausf. D. Against a Pz IV F2 or Pz IV G, it will probably lose, due to their opponent's more powerful cannon. It should be used in the Leningrad chapter, but upgraded to a KV-1 as early as possible.

Usage[]
The main difference between the Model 39 and 42 is the armor; which has been slightly increased. It is infererior to the Pz IV Ausf G, although two T-34-42s should be able to eliminate one of the former. A KV-1 would be a better choice due to its higher armor.

Usage[]
This is a vastly improved version of the T-34-42, although the "85" in this case refers to the cannon size, not the year it was designed. As is readily apparent, the armor and weapon has been significantly upgraded. The T-34-85 and the KV-85 are about equal in the Ukraine chapter, so it comes down to playing styles when selecting which tank to use. In the Romanian chapter, it should be upgraded to an IS-2.
